#Best screens for mac mini m1 Bluetooth
It would be like saying it doesn’t support a Bluetooth keyboard or a different mouse other than the trackpad. I can buy cheap ass PCs for a couple of hundred dollars that support a second display. Frankly, I’m shocked that Apple released a device they called a “pro” device that does not natively support a second display. But, does it allow you to add a second display to a MacBook Pro? Well then yes, it’s probably worth it.

In game mode, I have a main window with the game I am playing, plus a browser window open with youtube or some streaming.Ĭurrently, I am using an LG Ultragear 48" 4k OLED monitor, it's huge and it works well for me.Well I don’t think that was really the point, nobody’s going to run six displays in real life. In work mode, I like to have a couple of different browser windows open, chat, email, a work app or two. My needs are lots of screen real estate to have multiple windows open at once, good resolution to be able to read test that is crisp and clear and decent color reproduction. When I choose a monitor, I look at screen size, then resolution and then price and find what works for my needs and my budget. From the choices you list, I would go with the 27" 4k display, although I would honestly look at some different choices. You've been using a 32" screen, are you going to enjoy the experience of downsizing to a 24" or 27" screen size? To me 24" is just too small by today's standards. Typically, bigger is better, but again, it depends on your needs. Generally, the larger the resolution, the smaller things will be and the more screen real estate you will have. What were your issues with the 32" tv? FInd a replacement monitor that resolves those issues. What do you use your mac for? Web browsing, video production, color grading, email, gaming.

It's really just finding the right tool for the job. It's impossible to get a straight answer from anyone.īest for what? Pretty much any monitor will work with mac. You can use 3rd-party hacks to force MacOS to do the right thing, but I don't know if MacOS does the right thing on its own. That will look like garbage and you should have just bought a Low DPI display instead. The wrong way to handle a Medium DPI display is to render at Low DPI (2560x1440) and scale up to 3840x2160. This should look fine and an M1 should handle this scaling without a performance impact. The correct way to handle a Medium DPI (4K) display is to render at High DPI (5120x2880) and then scale down to 3840x2160. If you don't want to spend the money on a Retina display then 4K is probably the best choice.

Medium DPI 4K: No Mac software renders natively at this DPI, so graphics must be scaled after rendering. High DPI Retina: Looks perfect, but 27-inch Retina is too expensive. These days, designers focus on Retina displays and don't put in the effort to make things look good at low DPI. MacOS used to have excellent sub-pixel font rendering but that's no longer the case, and fonts just look blurry as a result. Low DPI: Modern MacOS no longer looks very good on low DPI displays. The natural resolution of a 27-inch monitor is 2560x1440 points, and there are three options: It's frustrating how hard it is to get a straight answer about this.
