While I would rather shop at Home Depot or Walmart, perhaps a 15% discount would bring me in to CT.for little things or the purchase of a larger item with a $15 discount. Perhaps CT provided discounts to retailers such as Metro in order to encourage grocery customers to consider going back to CT for a trip or two - here's a $15 reduction on your next $100 purchase. Second, retailers such as CT are struggling somewhat due to the end of the pandemic, early recession warnings, lower prices from competitors and overall awful reputation of their stores ("crappy tire" comes to mind here). And CERTAINLY not gifting oneself ten gift cards either. Gifting oneself is a concept, but not its intended use. Quite popular as holiday presents or birthdays, giving somebody a $100 gift card at CT for the birthday of a handyman or DIY person is a thoughtful gift. The original intention was to allow people to "gift" somebody some money that could be used at a particular retailer. There are a number of factors missing in this post, specifically dealing with the original concept of gift cards and their intended use.įirst, the name. I think setting limits (not low ones) is just good customer service. But, there's something to say about good customer service. At the end of the day, the business probably just wants a successful promotion and doesn't care who's buying them, as long as they are bought.
It may "buy" more time to spread the deal out. I don't think a single person should be able to walk in and clear house. As a high purchaser (probably top 5 on Redflagdeals), I also agree with limits.
